Kwong Wai Siew Peck San Theng Heritage Gallery
Meeting point: Admin Office
Before Bishan became the bustling town it is today, it was known as the "Peck San Theng" cemetery which was established in 1870 by the Kwong Wai Siew federation. Over the decades, a community settled around the cemetery grounds. This eventually led to what came to be known as Kampong San Teng, which had a strong community spirit and a rich multi-racial flavour. The newly set up Kwong Wai Siew Peck San Theng Heritage Gallery, which is supported by the National Heritage Board, and the well designed landscape present the rich legacy of this area and community.
